Artist's Description

This watercolor is done on yupo, an extremely slick, non-absorbent paper, originally used for sign painting. This image "appeared" from paint being poured on the surface and allowed to move by tilting the board. Then, I just worked to bring out the subject.

Elizabeth Carr

Elizabeth J. Carr Elizabeth Carr was born while her father was stationed in Coco Solo, Panama, reared in a military family, traveled around most of the U.S. and Germany, then married a Naval officer and repeated the pattern for several years, before finally settling in Acworth, GA in 1985. She has been studying watercolor painting for most of her adult life and struggling to find a balance between her mothering/homeschooling career and her love for watercolors.
