Our annual trip to the Cascade Mountains to cut our Christmas tree was the inspiration for this painting. I can still hear the crunch of the snow under my feet and recall the pungent scent of the fresh cut evergreen.

Elizabeth Carr

Elizabeth J. Carr Elizabeth Carr was born while her father was stationed in Coco Solo, Panama, reared in a military family, traveled around most of the U.S. and Germany, then married a Naval officer and repeated the pattern for several years, before finally settling in Acworth, GA in 1985. She has been studying watercolor painting for most of her adult life and struggling to find a balance between her mothering/homeschooling career and her love for watercolors.
